There are a limited number of Artist Vendors that will be confirmed at BurroFest. Submitting this form does not guarantee a space at the event until confirmed by the event manager. We work to make sure there are no major duplications before confirming.
There will be two types of Artists & Makers for this year’s event.
- Animal Artists paired with event burros
- Makers Market Vendors
Animal Artists
Mancos BurroFest highlights the work and talents of our area animal artists. This event provides opportunities for artists to showcase their work and/or demonstrate their creative process to the public through the use of live burro models.
Our animal artists will be paired with a burro that is registered for the Obstacle Course & Costume Contest. This gives the artist the opportunity to complete (or partially complete) a work of art with their burro as the subject prior to the event as desired. Artists may use their canopy space to continue working on their burro piece and to display and sell other finished work.
Animal Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply.
Registration includes:
- Partner with an event burro to create original art
- 10×10 Canopy Tent provided in Boyle Park
- Opportunity to win BurroFest People’s Choice Award
Makers Market Vendors
Mancos BurroFest highlights the work and talents of our area makers. This event provides opportunities for people to showcase and sell their work. Makers and artists working in all media are encouraged to participate.
This event features local artists and makers who create original artwork. Please indicate that the art you will sell at this event is your original work. Art can include books, craft items, visual art, and more, as long as it is a product of your creativity.
Makers Market will be located along Grand Ave. Participants are required to bring their own 10×10 tent.
Registration includes:
- 10×10 Space located on Grand Ave
- Market Vendors provide their own canopies

Our policy is NO REFUNDS. The reason for this is that most of the work (and expense) of putting on this event occurs well before the actual event. The Mancos Creative District is a 501(c)3 non-profit and we ask that, should you need to withdraw from the event, you consider your participation fee as a charitable donation which will help the MCD recover some costs of hosting the event as well as help us make BurroFest sustainable over the long term. Thank you.
